I think you can click on this and the article should appear, but I could be wrong.  If it doesn't appear, I found this at the Lew Rockwell site on Sat Nov. 7, 2020.

But just the title is spot-on.  Ain't it the dyin' truth?

Aren't these great?!  I heard him say these tonight when he appeared on Tucker Carlson's show.

Now, I'm here to tell you that I live in one of the Northern Tier States where it was colder than hell on a holiday, today.  The "warmest" it ever got was about 42 degrees and the wind is cranking at about (between) 15 to 30 mph, which brings the wind chill into play and brings that temperature down significantly from the actual "thermometer" numbers of the forecasters.  SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, how do we, in this part of the country, go about "gathering for the upcoming holidays", OUTDOORS?????  Boy, would I love to see Chris Cuomo, Andrew Cuomo, Gavin Newsom, Nanny Piglosi, Chuckie-boy Schoooooomer and a few others try this little feat.  Actually, Andrew Cuomo could try it a bit later on this year because NYC generally can get quite cold before the holidays.

We'll see how stalwart these people are if THEY come to my state to celebrate.  I'll bet I ski with less clothing on than 80 year old Nanny Piglosi would have to wear to stay warm outdoors for even 5 minutes.

Re: QUOTES & PUNS (keep adding to the list)

I have Erma's books and found this quote from her at Old Farmer's Almanac today.  Sure wish she was stiill kickin' around and making folks laugh.  I miss her humor in today's horrid world of street fighting and firebombing businesses.  Good God what's happened to us???

“Thanksgiving dinners take 18 hours to prepare. They are consumed in 12 minutes. [Football] halftimes take 12 minutes. This is not a coincidence.” Erma Bombeck (1927–96), American humorist

I can certainly identify with this!  My daughter is the sports fan in this family around the holidays so she's always the first to eat, the first to finish and the first to set up residence on the couch!  My DH and our 2 sons are usually on the floor stretched out with pillows under their heads in front of the squawkbox by the time the games start, too. My DIL and the older grands are the ones who help with the dishes!!  We don't care one hoot about tv sports, so when we get the kitchen cleaned up we generally play Mexican Dominoes or Farkle or some other card or dice game around the kitchen table.  I wish every day was a holiday!

Saw this online somewhere this morning but I can't remember where.  I copied it down so I could post it here after I was done reading some other stuff.  I think maybe I found it at Farmer's Almanac or the Old Farmer's Almanac or one of those types of newsletters.

It's a good one!

Re: QUOTES & PUNS (keep adding to the list)

Freedom of the press is important, just like all of our other freedoms, and should never be abused.

Certainly not to express personal opinions.

I consider the tv, the internet, and all those idiotic places online like twitter etc., to be mouthpieces for slander.  Most assuredly CNN fits into that mold.  But when it's abused and used to tell whopper lies, we as American citizens need to stand up and start calling a spade a spade.

I can remember when elections were a bit offensive, but what we've got going on today is nothing short of criminal when it comes to telling lies and stealing votes.  If Joe Biden wins this election, it will be by hook or by crook (mostly crook) and it will prove to the whole world that crime pays.

Can we, as American's, afford to have that happen to our election process?  It is one of the few times the entire country has the chance to voice their opinions and then it's wrested from us by unscrupulous hogwarts like BLM, who say out of one side of their mouth that protesting is bad but then they go on to violent protesting, which NO ONE agreed to.

The dimpocraps, however, are dismissing the breaking of windows in businesses all over America, they are supporting the people who are setting everything they can find on fire, they are shooting people and then blaming the shootings on others, they are dragging people out of their cars and beating the hell out of them for trying to drive down public streets, they are pulling babies and Moms from cars and public transportation units.  These same people are encouraging the admission of millions of illegal immigrants into this country (so they can have their votes) and there are not enough jobs for the American people as it is.  Now the entire country is shut down, for the most part.

I mean, this has just gone beyond the pale.  Our police officers have quit their jobs in droves and, Consitutionally, our President is prohibited from doing anything about this (a new law must be adopted to deal with this sort of thing, but it's new to this country so it will take YEARS before anything is done).  Ours is an old, monstrous, belabored, rusty machine.  Thank goodness we have Sheriff's and National Guard units who are not under those same rules.

Re: QUOTES & PUNS (keep adding to the list)

Three good quotes from Milton Friedman which are sooooo relevant today - and always in a free society.  Biden et al wish for us NOT to have a free society, they wish for us to be downtrodden by socialist countries.  Of course, since the Biden's have become wealthy off the rest of us, they have nothing to fear, nor do any other rich people  - -  until their money runs out.  And it will.  Maybe he oughta think about that.

“The great virtue of a free market system is that it does not care what color people are; it does not care what their religion is; it only cares whether they can produce something you want to buy. It is the most effective system we have discovered to enable people who hate one another to deal with one another and help one another.”
― Milton Friedman

“Government has three primary functions. It should provide for military defense of the nation. It should enforce contracts between individuals. It should protect citizens from crimes against themselves or their property. When government-- in pursuit of good intentions tries to rearrange the economy, legislate morality, or help special interests, the cost come in inefficiency, lack of motivation, and loss of freedom. Government should be a referee, not an active player.”
― Milton Friedman

“Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program.”
― Milton Friedman

Re: QUOTES & PUNS (keep adding to the list)

Democrats are the only reason to vote for republicans.

I remember when being liberal meant being generous with your own money.

The taxpayers are sending congressmen on expensive trips abroad. It might be worth it except they keep coming back.

The money was all appropriated for the top in the hopes that it would trickle down to the needy. Mr. Hoover didn’t know that money trickled up. Give it to the people at the bottom and the people at the top will have it before night, anyhow. But it will at least have passed through the poor fellow’s hands.

I would love to see Mr. (Henry) Ford in there, really. I don't know who started the idea that a President must be a Politician instead of a Business man. A Politician can't run any other kind of business. So there is no reason why he can run the U.S. That's the biggest single business in the World.

Re: QUOTES & PUNS (keep adding to the list)

This is a great site, and I posted here a page of quotes from Native peoples.

Sadly, as peaceable as they tried to be and as helpful as they tried to be to the first white men who came to America, we have killed these people, we have humiliated these people, and we have stolen everything that was once theirs.  They had respect for everything in life and death, alike.  White man is not respectful.  White men have trouble respecting each other much less mother nature.  It's why white people are seeing so much damage and destruction to Mother Earth.  We get what we deserve.

Re: QUOTES & PUNS (keep adding to the list)

Best quote of the day:

"There’s a figurehead, and then there’s those who are truly in charge."

It should actually say "there are those who are truly in charge" but these journalists today don't know scratch about the English language or how to use it properly.  "there's" means there is and that's not how you would say the sentence if you were speaking instead of writing, is it??  See what I mean?  But the truth of the message is clear.  Biden is a figurehead and COMMALA is in charge (amongst many others who are taking advantage of his dementia).

The quoted material came from the last line in this article:  https://redstate.com/bonchie/2021/03/13/mother-of-god-tom-cotton-absolutely-takes-biden-nominee-apart-during-hearing-n342780

I truly thought the title of this article was a bit over the top.  I listened to the vid and it truly wasn't at all what I was expecting.

Re: QUOTES & PUNS (keep adding to the list)

A quote from a recent "To my mailbox newsletter" (with no link, sorry to say).

Here's the quote:

=11pt"Natural immunity occurs when your body protects itself from a disease. Vaccine immunity occurs when you inject a certain disease into the body to produce immunity from it."

Rand Paul is a doctor.  He should know better than to say something like this because it's just not true.

Vaccines inject a disease into the human body and they have NO IDEA what it's going to do from there.  It most certainly doesn't confer immunity.  That is a misconception on the part of all medical doctors who really WANT to believe this is a fact.

Natural immunity can ONLY occur if the body has been exposed to a certain disease and is able to fight it off because the immune system is in good working condition.  So yes, your body protects itself but it has to be exposed FIRST.

So he's kinda sorta wrong on both counts.  But he's spectacularly wrong on the vaccine part.  All those shots you had as a baby?   You have no idea what they're doing inside your body all these years, which is why the illness industry is going full speed ahead.  I have a sister who had rheumatoid arthritis in her early/latter years (she died at 60) after having RA for about 5 years, but she was a doctor's dream.  If they threw a pill or a potion at her, she took it without question.  I tried to tell her she was doing herself more harm than good but she refused to hear anyone but doctors.  Well, they eventually had mission accomplished and killed her off with methotrexate and about 12 other drugs and countless shots of God only knows what.

But, Rand is a doctor so he must push medical things, I guess, no matter how foolish.

Re: QUOTES & PUNS (keep adding to the list)

"COMMUNISM:  Nothing more than a vast conspiracy to enslave the common man."

I heard this said in one of the old western/army type movies I was watching recently.  Those words, sadly, are still true today and apparently America didn't learn her lesson.  Nations always think they're "too big or too powerful" for someone else to gain a foothold.  Well, now we see how untrue that is.  It's happening in America (thanks to the traitorous democrats in power right now) as we speak.

They are killing people with a CHINESE BASED VACCINE, can you believe how many people bought into that ridiculous theory?  Too many in the media, for sure, and that includes the dingbats from FOX news.  Tucker is the only one I've heard truly question the vaccines, but the rest of them are saying just get the damned thing.

"Humans adapt, and nature adapts.  Such is the cycle of life on Planet Earth."

This quote I took from an article I just posted here about nature's resiliency.  I do not now, nor did I ever believe in such nonsense as global warming and sea levels changing and all of that garbage.  OF COURSE THOSE THINGS HAPPEN, but they happen as part of the natural cycle of life.  That's the NATURE part of life on earth.  If you haven't figured that out by now, your brain must be on tilt.

This is the article from which I took the above quote:  https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/11/in_california_nature_reminds_us_of_its_resiliency.html
