If you haven't already figured this out for yourself, here's the deal:  First you get a notice in the mail that your social security is being raised.  Mine went up by a little more than $200/month.  But - - - my property taxes also went up by 200 per month, so there you go - - they give with one hand and take away with the other.  They knew they were gonna git all this money back anyway, so this was just a "we're making you feel good" moment.  Sure didn't last long. My property taxes are not included with my house payment so this money comes directly from my pocket.  Disgraceful way to treat American's who've worked hard all their lives and DESERVE their SS money, now we have it but we don't.  It's called a "teaser".
