A little late for Christmas but this sounds good anyway, anytime! I just have no clue what type of pan to use. It doesn't say a bundt pan nor does it say an angel food cake pan, but it's gotta be something with high sides. I'll have to mull on that for a while, I guess.
Similar to Brioche *bread. I would prefer it with just currants or maybe a mixture of currants and soft, brown raisins (I hate golden raisins).
