This recipe is very much like my Gramma's recipe, although she used a little bacon grease in hers, but I'm not sure how. Maybe it was that she greased the baking pan with it?? That makes sense.
Buttermilk biscuits are by far the most tasteful and tender. And when they're a drop biscuit instead of having to roll out dough and cut with a cookie cutter thingy, wow, it's just so much easier.
These are great with homemade soups like split pea or bean or vegetable beef.
