It's the only way he's actually going to understand the gravity of what he's done. Certainly his moronic VP isn't going to do the job HE APPOINTED her to do, no sir, she just thumbed her nose at him. He should be furious about that but shows little interest one way or the other. But he gets madder than hell at the slightest hint of controversy over his useless, druggie son.
He's getting more for his kindergarten art than Picasso did for some of his stuff (which was just as bad, as far as I'm concerned because it made little to no sense). I like art that MEANS something, shows something like a building or a mountain or a stream or something. Not so with loser hunter's paint brush. That brush shows no fear when it comes to creating total nonsensical distraction.
