I like Baylen Linnekin, haven't read anything from him in ages. But, his idea of "foraging" is much much different than mine. Mine is much much different than what the gubmint thinks of as foraging, too.
If I have to be TOLD where I can forage, that's not foraging. In my area of the country, there's no place left to forage because the contractors have built SOMETHING (even if it's something we don't need or want) everywhere in the hills where there would be anything WORTH foraging. And if our gubmint thinks people are too stupid to know what's foragable and what's not, well, there's your sign. The gubmint is going to stop us from doing almost everything at some point. Depend on it.
