A treasured find!

Over the weekend after my two oldest grands were gone after staying with us for 2 days, I was lonely and got started digging through a whole raft of DVD's I recorded over the years (before the cable companies banned us from doing that).  I came across several really interesting movies I really want to see, but last night I watched for at least the 1,000th time the terrific movie "Young at Heart".  What a step backwards!

It was filmed in 1951 and had a whole wonderful cast: Ethel Barrymore, Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, Dorothy Malone, Gig Young, Alan Hale, Jr., and many more.  It was sooooooooooooooo much fun to look back and homes, furnishings, clothing styles, hairdo's, kitchen appliances, etc.  I remember the poodle skirts my sisters wore from that era, especially.

I watched it twice!   I recommend it to anyone who either lived in that era or who wished they had.  Terrific stuff.
