Best & worst sunscreens (adults & kids)

A great article to have on hand, with summer right around the corner. We've finally had 2 days in a row of no rain, but yesterday was overcast until about 5 in the p.m.  Today has been sunny and almost hot since early morning (I got up at 6:30 a.m.).

Below this article on sunscreens, I'm also posting a link to a page with information about zinc oxide.  I use zinc oxide on my nose (ever since I was a lifeguard in my teens).  A sunburned nose hurts like hell, take my word for it, and most sun bonnets and caps and straw hats, etc., will not protect your nose unless you're constantly looking down at your feet!!

***  I have been known to take Butt Paste and dilute it with either water or baby oil and apply it if I have no plain zinc oxide on hand, and it worked fine.  I'm wondering if I could take a couple of my zinc capsules and make a paste out of them (with water and/or oil of some kind) and put that on my face and arms as a sunscreen?  I'll be looking that up, you can be sure!  For now, I just take my zinc internally in capsules!
