Intergenerational living

This should never have gone "out of style".  Our older generation has always needed the closeness of family members during their latter years, but seemed to always be stuck into a nursing home, sometimes with good reason but not always.  Sometimes they were just considered "a nuisance".  How AWFUL that must feel.  After all, they contributed a lot to the famiy themselves and now are discarded?  Yes, it's unthinkable.  Some families never embraced that nursing home idea, thank God.
