This sounds yummy, and yes, we get our eggs from a pasture-fed source. We've seen her operation and know that it's pastured at all times, except during the harshest winter months when the snow is just too deep to move with a shovel to let the chickens get down to the grass. Also, if the weather produced ice before it produced snow, they have no choice but to feed organic grains to their chickens until grass can be found once again! They also feed hay and straw and some organic food scraps off their kitchen table! That's the way my gramma used to do it, too - - anything the people didn't eat up, the chickens got for a treat.
This sounds yummy and the kids can have it too. Adults may want to add a splash or two of brandy, cognac or Bushmills Irish Whisky (my favorite!) to their cup before adding the eggnog. Adjust to suit your flavor favorite! 🎅🤶
