What about today's news outlets

In the news cycle, everything is called a "story", forgetting that those stories involve real events and real people.

That's the biggest problem I see with America today - - everything is a "STORY" and as long as places like amazon's Jeff Bezos (who owns the WAPO), and a few of the other news outlets have a "story to tell" they tromp on the people involved in those stories, many times without gathering all the facts involved.

That's where the trouble begins.  That's also where the trouble could end if these places would actually do the job they set out to do, and that is REPORT the news, not try to change peoples minds.  They are mandated only to report facts, but most of the time in the past 10 years, they also insert their own personal opinions on things where they should not be doing so.
