Dutch? Apple pie

We always called this Amish Apple Pie, although when I make my own pie crust I never use "shortening" anymore.  I use some stuff called Nutiva which is a blend of coconut oil and red palm oil.  Works great in place of the shortening.  If I happen to have real lard on hand, I use that above all else.  Makes the best pie crusts ever.

The rest of the recipe is excellent and is always requested at family gatherings.
