The industry has no intention of going "real" because that would certainly create healthier people and the medical industry is a huge supporter of GMO and GMObased foods.  No wonder so many people are fat, diabetic and sick in today's world.  This also includes babies who are diabetic before they are 2 years old.  How sad. (This is about Type II diabetes, as Type 1 is a totally different animal).  I try to grow as much of my own food as possible and we are in the process of investing in a new greenhouse to be used next year) but now we're getting to the point where it's hard to get the things you need to stay organic.  Seeds, greenhouses, soil preparations, etc., are becoming rare and are sold at PREMIUM prices, so be prepared to pay for your health twice - - in food costs and in the REQUIRED healthcare costs we cannot seem to avoid.
