I love slab pie - so easy to do!  I love it with almost any fruit or fruit combo, except dates!

These recipes go to waaaaaay yonder too much work for me.  I just put a crumble topping on ALL my pies or slab pies and call it a day.  I don't have the energy anymore to cut our stars and moons, etc., and "decorate" my foods.  Besides, people really don't care about fancy they just like good flavor.
