One of the *other* problems with opioids is that people with the power to change things (like the doctor who wrote this, for instance) are doing nothing about it. Regular people get nowhere trying to change LAWS, but a doctor who has experience with opioids might stand a lot better chance of making CONgresspeople see reason. But then again, when the PHrmA companies are responsible for bankrolling more than 1/2 of CONgress, we can expect no changes at all. Until all that lobbying crap changes, nothing else will.
