Why on earth do they have to add oatmeal to absolutely EVERYTHING??????????????????????

How gross.

I make these, but without the oatmeal.  I learned from my Mom.

Core the apple, stuff in some raisins (golden or regular brown ones) or some craisins, put in about 1 TBSP dark brown sugar, slather a couple of pats of butter on top of the raisins, shake some cinnamon over the top and stuff them into the oven.  They will run over so put a tray underneath them or line the bottom of your stove with tin foil.
