A "no-roll, press-in-the-pan" pie crust is a foolproof, time-saving method where you mix the dough directly in the pie dish and use your fingers to shape it. It yields a tender, crumbly crust perfect for single-crust, cream, or baked pies.
Some of the online press in pan recipes use vegetable oil (eww) so I always substitute butter in its place. Don't ever use that processed crap. Some of the crusts are sweet (by adding vanilla and a bit of sugar) and some are savory for making your own pot pies. I made a huge pot pie a couple of days ago and my grands loved it. I also made that French Beef pie (posted here early last week I think) and it was another hit with them. Of course, those kids are always hungry they will eat anything.
