This is some information I was able to find on my cousin, Vaughan Schlepp, who is my cousin, my Mom's nephew. I have not seen Vaughan since he was about 3 years old when they came to our home for the Christmas Holidays way back in the early 1950's. Vaughan is a very gifted musician and can play ANY instrument you put in front of him!!
And this:
*** The rest of the articles I was able to find were all in Dutch Language, not understandable to me!!
His father (Wayne) was my Mom's youngest brother. Wayne is also my father's name (actually Orlyn Wayne). My Mom's brother was a Professor of Oriental Languages at the University of Toronto Canada (after living in East Sussex, England, in Tokyo, Japan, in Madison, Wisconsin as an instructor, he also lived in Russia for one summer, some country with a name starting with an "M" that I cannot think of right now, and in China where he ate something while living there that made him sick for weeks). He was always tall and skinny (like my Mom was, too) and their only other sibling was Merle who lived in Aberdeen, SD (he was always a manager for JCPenney stores until he died, but lived in Devils Lake, ND when he died. He and his wife Joan adopted 3 children.
I used to keep in touch with my Uncle Wayne up in Toronto, but he was already well into his mid to late 80's as of last summer and I think he must have passed away, but no one let me know about it at all. My emails kept being returned to me (presumably by the staff wherever he was living and you'd think they could have taken 2 minutes to email me and let me know he died, but no, that would have made sense). Merle died before computers were a "thing" or a way to keep in touch so I was unable to communicate much with him. I am going to do a search to see if I can locate any of Merle's 3 kids.
