My parents and I went through several of these when I lived in La Crescenta in the late 1960's. Lived there for 3 years and the worst one only knocked a few cosmetics out of the medicine chest (which is what we used to call them back then). Didn't even break the mirrors or anything, thank GOD!
Once when one hit I was laying on the living room sofa watching westerns with my Dad when one hit and it just rattled a few things around, but nothing fell off shelves or broke or anything. I have relaitves who live along the San Andres Fault and they felt it much worse than we did, over by Thousand Oaks and Chatsworth, etc. My other cousin lives in Oxnard and also felt it, she said. My younger cousin and his family of wife and 3 kiddo's live in Newport Beach/Manhatten beach and said they didn't really feel anything that they noticed. Believe me, if it was bad enough, you'd notice it !!!!!
