Good advice here

I bought this entire kit last summer for a little over $400 and it was well worth it.  The taste of most of the things I've sampled (just to check it out). is really quite good.  You'd be surprised.  Of course, remember, water is your  most important "food".  Be sure to have more than one way to store it, and have a local source if possible because you can always "clean" the water for drinking and cooking purposes.  It reminds me of when I was a kid - my Mom always used the water from her boiled potatoes, along with some cream and butter, to make her mashed potatoes.  Save all sources of water, you'll need it.  Take it from someone with an enormous thirst *that's what Sjogren's does to you, like it or not.
