What DOES a US soldier actually sign up for when they enlist?

This says it about as well as anything I've ever read.  It is a JOB, nothing more.  It's like any other job in some ways because some people thrive on that sort of atmosphere, others hate it and can't wait to get out.  It's a matter of mentality, I suspect.

This is a DON'T MISS article.  Really, it's great.
