ALL Americans should own a gun of some sort, I own a couple of buckshot guns which are great for the way my house is designed.  One blast in the face (which is where I aim) and I'd never be bothered again!  I also aim for the legs if someone is on the run.  Last year we had a couple of crazies running around my neighborhood (as well as a couple of big white tail bucks with 4 point racks) and I hit a couple of those nimrods in the legs with my scattergun.  I also am looking at getting a Sig Sauer for ladies (they make a special one with a hand grip for ladies.  NICE!
