Gitchie Girl

The writer of this book is my cousin.  I have not spoken to her since we were children and we barely knew each other then.  But it isn't because I wouldn't want to see her, it's because we live on different sides of the state and we have never had the occasion to see or be around one another.  My only living sibling, a brother age 80, has seen her though, and in fact helped to promote her book sales in the area where I grew up.  I should reach out and try to contact her once again.

This happened nearly 50 years ago but will never really go away, seeing as what's happening in the American landscape today.  What happened to her was bad, very bad, but she was lucky - - they didn't kill her, which is a mystery in and of itself.

But in the world 'climate' of today, you cannot count on things like people NOT killing each other just for the 'fun of it' anymore.  People are just friggin', outright crazy and thinking is the last thing they do.

Buy the book and read it.

Her husband collaberates with her in the writing of this book, but he tends to make it more about HIMSELF than about her.  I don't care for him.  Can you tell?!
