The most beautiful, peaceful time of year, unless you have an ice storm - - and then you slip and fall and break something (like an ankle or whatever) - - that's not fun.  So be careful out there when winter comes.  My family is used to ice and snow and how to deal with it because we've been skiing (as a family) for years already.  Since the kids were little kids and their now in their 30's and 40's.  Now that we're old farts, my DH and I stick with cross country type skiing.  We also like to snowshoe, if the snow isn't too deep - - we're just not as young as we used to be so we have to be more choosy now, dang it!
