An interesting list.  Some of these are hard to gauge anymore because the squirrels in our yard are busy year-round gathering whatever they can find and burying it in our backyard.  Then they forget where they've buried things and they dig up the whole damned yard looking for stuff.

And the geese are in our area year round because of the many streams and lakes where they hang out all winter long.  The rivers and streams move too fast to freeze, although some of the lakes in the higher elevations freeze solid and then the geese "skate" around on them. 

This article appears to be from 2009 but these are all weather-lore and predictions that have been around for a century or more.

One they didn't mention (which is noticed only by poultry producers) is the thickness of the feather covering on the body and head of the chickens.  Feathers don't get "heavier" so they get thicker.
