The reality is that it's the American taxpayer who is in fact subsidizing every "successful" socialist country because we pay for their defense, which frees up enough of their "budgets" to pay for this cradle-to-grave nonsense.  But you see, if we weren't helping with their "budgets" they wouldn't have the money either and they really have no budget plans at all.  They depend on the USA to support their people as well as ours.  China has been doing this for years, via the "trade" industry.  Everything we Americans buy says "made in China".  Except that all of this funding to China doesn't help the people who really need it, it helps the already rich folks over there to become even richer, more obnoxious and more murderous.  ​
