Yes, why aren't they held accountable? 

Because no one on the R side ever looks into any of their "misdeeds" because it might reflect badly on them to do so.  The D's aren't the only ones who have committed wrongs, ya know.  That's just how politics seems to work.  No wonder my dad didn't stay in - - not even state politics have a very good record in that regard and he couldn't stand it, most likely.  I was too young at the time to ask about all that stuff.
