Doesn't cause health problems, but fined $289 million?
Clearly, there's a problem here. Someone is lying.
I wish the fine had been $289 trillion because $289 million is nothing to a company this size. In the end, this court decision probably doesn't mean a damned thing. It's a drop in a helluva big bucket.
I have belonged to a group here in SD for years who've been petitioning farmers and trying to convince them to stop using pesticides, herbicides, insecticides - - in other words, poisons - - on their crops. Most of them really and truly have absolutely no clue what they're doing to the soil, the crops, and the health of the animals and people who eat those crops and products of those crops. They don't even understand the dangers they're doing to themselves while using these toxic chemicals. They cannot work with chemicals and not breathe some of it into their lungs or absorb some spilled stuff through their skin, or whatever scenario plays out. It would be impossible to use it and not come in contact with it in some way.
Well, I think they'll all understand a little better once they read this article and a few more like it. However, some people really don't care about the toxicity. That's a sad fact. It's about the money, stupid. That's their mantra.
As a result of all this toxic crap, we have illnesses we can't identify, much less treat. We have poisoned waterways - - and let me tell you, water is the key to life itself. We are not going to be able to survive the onslaught if we keep poisoning our water. Our cities do it FAITHFULLY every day by adding flouride, which is also toxic to humans and animals. By the time anyone learns the lessons, it will be too late to change the dynamic. We don't have to worry about terrorist attacks, we're doing it to ourselves.

You may not even know you're getting it in your foods, because of a labeling system that is so corrupt, not to mention lame. Our gubmint is NOT going to do anything about this, so we must try to do it ourselves.
Don't think for one minute that those "health food breakfast bars" are truly healthy and good for you. What a GD crock.
