Because the 2024 presidential campaigning and election is looming, that's why.  They are trying to score points.  If they had functional brains in the first place, they never would have allowed those types of things to happen in their cities.  But this is all about POLITICS, you can be sure of that.  They are trying to boost ol' joe's sagging numbers - - but they have NO CLUE what to do with COMMALA because no one wants her!  Good, now they're stuck with that dumb bitch, let them figure it out.
