I don't know.  In some ways I don't blame him for wanting to avoid that "meat grinder" press coverage, but then again he's leading the polls (however reliable they are) on the GOP side right now so maybe he really doesn't need to debate, besides I don't think biden could truly withstand a 1 1/2 hour debate unless it was pre-recorded and that ain't gonna happen.  If biden isn't up to the rigors of a 90 minute debate, he's not really up to the rigors of being the president either, don't you agree?

Yes, I think Trump should do this, though.  People WANT to hear him and his opinions, people really want to see him "in action" especially against the geriatric piece of shit that's supposedly "in charge" right now.  Good Lord.  What a mess.
