Surely you jest. 
The American economy has been sliding downhill for the past 18 months. Didn't anyone notice before??
Ever since biden started handing out billions of American dollars to foreign countries (some of them are our worst enemies) the American public is getting poorer and the rich are getting richer, and foreign countries know they can come here for a hand-out. And biden laughs about it, Nazi Nannzi rubs her hands together in glee over it, and there are a lot of RINO's who are actually supporting this thinking. It is appalling.
Uh, yeah, in some places over $8 per gallon of gas would definitely make for a worse economy.
