I think bill gates spent way too much time reading Orwell, and trying to figure out how to make Orwell's fiction become reality.  I don't know why anyone would do that, or want that for others, but read this article and then compare where we are today with my theory.

The "accepters" are the frightened, terrified masses who refuse to actually take a look at the reality.  Rather than doing a little homework, they just blithely accept the false narratives.
