Buttercup, delicata, carnival, and sweet dumpling are my favorites.
Many people do not even realize what buttercup squash is, or that it's even around. All we ever hear about is butternut squash and I hate that stuff - - it has a very "dark" flavor, to me. But to each his own, I guess.

I like to take an acorn or small delicata squash and stuff it with chopped apples and a blend of brown sugar and cinnamon. More like dessert than anything. Well, after all, most squash are considered a fruit rather than a vegetable. So is a pumpkin, for that matter. Look it up.
