Why is it illegal to protect yourself and your family?
Home invasions happen all the time, and I will never understand why the homeowners are not allowed to protect themselves. I mean, it hardly seems logical to chase an invader around the yard with a rolling pin whilst he packs fire power. But it seems that's what we're supposed to do in this country. Well, actually, the homeowner isn't supposed to do a damned thing - we're supposed to sit there and be shot to hell (then we'd probably be charged posthumously with negligence for not protecting our family members). That's just about how stupid this whole subject has become. We just can't win.
