Gee, I hadn't thought about these in absolutely years until I saw this recipe.  My gramma's best friend used to make these and enter them in the fair every year, and she also brought them to all the church summer pot-luck dinners.  I loved them, no one else in my family cared for them, so she often gave my gramma 1 large jar of them just for me!  Those were the good ol' days.
