I'd like to try the first idea (the colorful popcorn) for my grandbabies (ages 11 to 3) for Easter this year. I'm always hesitant about letting a 3 year old have popcorn because kids stuff their mouths too full and it's sooooo easy to choke on popcorn, but his parents don't seem worried, so I'll let them handle it however they wish. However, this is the same kid who was in the hospital for a week last summer because he got into some pills and was lethargic and "out of it" for almost 3 days. We nearly lost him. Now, the pills are kept under lock and key - - where I TOLD his parents to put all pills (including aspirin "Motrin" whatever) a long time ago.
Why is it that grandparents don't really know anything until they actually do?? It's almost like we have to PROVE that we're not stupid, even though we've seen a lot and been through a lot in our lifetimes. Beats me.
