Check it out with this handy dandy little weather guide from Farmers Almanac.  Mine doesn't sound very conducive to driving (2 of my kids have to come 300+ miles to get to our house!) so we may not have much family here.  My son and his family always spend Tx with her family, as if we don't exist.  Burns me but not much I can do about it.
