Grow a Cottage Garden

This is what I've been trying to accomplish on both my front and back deck areas for the past few years, but I cannot do a thing about expanding this year because it's been far too wet and in the mornings, even now in July, it's been downright cold.  Nothing in this area is growing very well this year, although I LOVE the cooler temps myself.  It makes life sooooo much easier for me, since I do not tolerate heat very well under the best of conditions and now that my feet swell constantly from medications (which my doctor refuses to change) I am even more uncomfortable than ever unless it's cool.

Soooooooooo, my plan is to spend THIS summer rounding up more containers to use for my "deck planting" of pots and pots and pots of mixed vegetation.  Up until now, I haven't been planting perennials but next spring, weather permitting, everything that goes into a pot (flower wise at least) will be a perennial.  The herbs and veggies, of course, will be annuals.

I'm looking forward to next summer already and hoping for a bit less rain.
