Hail!!!

Wow, we have got one heckofa hail storm going on right now.  Stones are about the size of a dime but it's coming down so hard I finally muted the tv because we couldn't hear it anyway.  It went from about 68 degrees to about 45 in less than 10 minutes and then the hail started in.  It is piled up like snow on our back deck and people who just recently planted gardens and flowers are likely about as pissed off as they can be.  This is just not going to be the banner year for gardening, folks!

Our huge pine trees in the backyard are being battered to the point where it's knocking off some of the newly forming pine cones.  That does NOT break my heart.  We are, yearly, inundated with pine cones.  We aren't allowed to burn them and they are a pain in the arse to clean up.

So part of this storm is a good thing and part of it, well, not so much.  This hail has kept up non-stop for over 10 minutes already.  Unbelievable.
