What does the word "final" say to you? Ok, me too! It means the end of something.
At least it does unless you're referring to a *final season* of a tv show.
For MONTHS now I was wahooing and hoorahing because it was advertised as the "final season of Teachers" on TVLAND. Well, just as with all teachers who mess everything up, the word final must now have a new meaning because it doesn't mean "the end" anymore.
I hate the show teachers because it is gross, stupid, has no message, I would never ever let a kid watch it (for many reasons but let's start with the language used) and even the commercials are just plain disgusting.
But now, after rah-rahing the "final season" for a couple of months, they are advertising the "upcoming season".
Hey? How does this work? I guess in the fantasyworld of television, you can make any word mean whatever you want it to mean. Final doesn't really mean the end, it means a new season!
Go figure.
