Northumberland Pan Haggerty

This sounds simple and easy as a side-dish for a sausage, ham steak, or hamburger patti supper.  All I have to do is locate the right pan, because you have to be able to use it stovetop and in the oven.  I gave all of my cast iron pans away because I simply cannot lift them anymore.  My sons took them to use for their hunting trips and say it makes the best "bacon and eggs in the woods" ever - - I wonder why they didn't notice that same goodness with bacon and eggs when they still lived at home!

The cast iron chicken stewing pot that I had was a true favorite of mine, but as I get older my wrists just cannot handle the weight.  Dang!
