It is going to be very hot in my area for the end of August. Hopefully September will be cooler at some point.  I don't want snow yet, but just some cooler weather that makes my baking chores more pleasant.  Today and tomorrow in the upper 90's and they said something about rain but I'm not holding my breath on that score. They've said that every day for the past 3 months and we've had nothing except dry lightning and thunder.

Some moisture would be most welcome but I don't see it happening anytime soon.  Lots of birthdays in my family in August and Sept., so maybe that will bring some luck into the autumn months.  It's better than the flooding and landslides that are taking place in parts of the world, however.  We have lots of birthdays in Oct and Dec as well, so time will tell us about what happens on the moisture scene.
