If we got away from the current lame-ass education system, which really teaches kids nothing anymore and hasn't since the early 1970's, kids (and adults for that matter) would be far and away ahead of the game. Even President Trump uses horrible English. "To Not" is one of my biggest pet peeves and everyone says it, as well as "anywayS". There is no such word as anyways but people have been using it that way for decades.
The correct way to use the English Language hasn't been in use for the past 4 generations and it shows. I don't wish to talk down to anyone but "to not" is NOT proper English, no wonder foreigners have trouble learning our language. It's disgraceful the way it's constantly used in the wrong fashion.
Good reading from Jon:
Education has become a savings account for politicians who are on the dole. It's no wonder they are trying so hard to hang onto it, although the dimwit dems are showing a complete lack of any background in the English Language at all right now. All they know how to do is cuss and call people names. A real "winning strategy".
GOOD. I hope they keep doing that because they are not going to win friends and influence people THAT way. How do people like Jasmine Crockett end up in CONgress anyway??????????? That's a subject I hope Jon looks into real soon. If she can make it into the halls of CONgress, I should be a shoe-in ... I'm 71 and have had a stroke but I'm far smarter than she will EVER be, and I don't call our leaders names (as a rule).
Our education system for all it's warts has certainly failed the black community all over the USA. Crockett is just one example of the stupidity which permeates our society. When I was in Jr. High in the mid to late 1960's in Los Angeles my best friend was from South Africa and although there are many people from S. Africa who are white, SHE was as black as a dark night. In fact, when it was dark outside if she wasn't smiling you couldn't find her! She had the whitest teeth I've ever seen. But we loved each other like sisters and were inseparable until I moved back to my home state of SD and I've only seen her once since that time. We used to talk on the phone quite a bit but now we haven't done that in months. She was amazed when she saw my brothers performing in a rodeo, lots of action and danger and she was mesmerized! A horse came pretty close to the fence where we were sitting and she took off running for the car!!
