Using a BIG box of instant vanilla pudding takes the place of a long drawn out "starter" process.  I used to have a starter going in my little ceramic crock all the time but since my husband passed away I rarely make that much bread anymore, I make lots of cakes, however.  I never make anything in muffin tins, it's far too much work and it requires me to have paper liners which are now expensive as hell.  $4 bucks for a package of 15 liners!!  Unreal.  And that was at walmart!!
