My oldest sister used to make this often because her girls loved it with a glass of milk when they came home from school.  My God that was 50 years ago!!!

Sometimes the older recipes are the best of the bunch.  I have her recipe here somewhere, but in the moving mess I can't seem to find it but this is very close.  My Mom also made a raw Apple Cake that was similar and delicious.
