California burns
I don't have a link to share, but I've been watching the coverage this morning on FOX. The area of the fires is a part of California that is very familiar to me because I used to live right in this area and still have relatives who live in the Thousand Oaks area and another cousin who live in Oxnard (nearer the ocean so not quite as bad off) and another cousin in Newport Beach along the PCH.

The whole area is burning out of control because of those nasty 80 to 100 mph Santa Ana Winds. We spent a lot of time at Malibu beach, Zuma Beach, and all along the Laguna Beach area, all of which are sort of on fire and sort of protected by the water, but the land masses are just tinder now. It actually doesn;t break my heart because Gruesome Newsom knew this part of the year was coming and did nothing to prepare for it. Right now, according to my cousin in Thousand Oaks, the Pepperdine are (she used to work at Pepperdine College/University) and I think that is now a thing of the past.
DO YOU KNOW WHO IS GOING TO HAVE TO PAY TO REBUILD THIS AREA BECAUSE OF NEWSOM'S FAILURES??????? Just guess. It won't be the insurance companies, for sure.

Again, I don't actually have a link to share so I had to copy and paste the article (what there was of it) because I am not a paid subscriber. He's right though, Newsom is an idiot full of bullshit stacked on top of more bullshit. And since I grew up on a ranch, I know bullshit when I see or hear it!!!!!!!!

Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass.In this article, I’m setting aside key issues which have been discovered during the fires now raging: insurance company cancellations of policies covering fires; water running out; shortage of fire fighters, owing in part to the dismissal of firefighters who refused the COVID vaccine; DEI hiring policies; slashed city firefighting budget; absent clueless LA Mayor on a junket to Africa.
Instead, I’m looking at the overarching big picture, which has existed for more than 60 years in California.

These morons could easily take water from the ocean (by using the buckets attached to helicopters) as long as the wind has gone down temporarily and will always go down now and then, leaving them plenty of time to haul sea water without corroding pipelines, etc (which are other ways of transporting the water from the sea).

More unbelievable bullshit about the California fires and who is saying it. They ACTUALLY pay this ridiculous person 3/4's of a million dollar every year to pretend she believes in climate change and to promote it, which is why California is burning.
