At the link below, from about the 10 minute mark to the 22 minute mark, there is a fascinating blurb about the area where I live (from Custer, SD to Lead/Deadwood, SD, to Cheyenne, WY) and there are also mentions of Nebraska and Iowa.  If you like history as much as I do you will love this.  The whole 50 minute vid is really good watching, too.
