Do you  buy eggnog or make your own?  I mostly buy mine because it's just easier.  I travel to my son's house for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and hauling food is bad enough but hauling drinks would be even worse.  I don't mind taking bottles of wine or something but not something that's mostly liquid and made in a kettle or a crockpot!

Here's a whole page of recipe ideas regarding egg nog.  Be sure to go all the way to the bottom and check out page 2 as well.  Lots of great ideas here.  I like mine with booze in it but not everyone does, and at my son's house we often make one batch of plain and one batch of boozy, which is why I buy the eggnog rather than making it homemade.  It takes 12 eggs to make a fairly small batch of homemade stuff, not to mention I would never in this lifetime use SOY milk or COCONUT MILK or any of that junk.  I would certainly  not use almond milk, it would change the entire taste of the stuff,  Now that I'm able to secure raw milk again, that would make the BEST eggnog ever, just like my gramma used to make!
