I love beans of any kind, especially green beans and navy beans, but I have gotten so I buy my navy beans pre-cooked in a can, otherwise I can soak them for MONTHS and then cook them but they never get soft. They stay hard and very starchy. This recipe is a nice blend of various different things like that.
