I love to watch the moon every year, especially in the fall and winter months when it's the most active, as a rule. My Dad used to take us out onto the back porch of our house and show us the moon every time it changed phases so we learned a lot about it even as children. It's a good practice and it's really too bad more parents don't bother to do it now instead of letting their kids be mesmerized by tv and cell phones and crap. Get out into nature and learn about stuff that's REALLY important and stay the hell off tik tok crap. I don't care how good it sounds, tik tok is a CHINESE company so why on earth do American's support that nonsense???? I'll just never understand, I guess.
My son has 11 kids and he is trying to teach them about the moon, as well, so this article was very helpful. My Dad also taught his grandkids about the moon and the stars. The only thing I really don't like is the milky way - - it scares me. It's just so damned ominous looking. ![]()
